Counselling is a confidential process designed to help you address your concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies.
I have the desire and willingness to help you accomplish your individual goals. Counselling involves sharing sensitive, personal, and private information that may at times be distressing.
During the course of counselling, there may be periods of increased anxiety or confusion. The outcome of counselling is often positive; however, the level of satisfaction for any individual is not predictable. I am available to support you throughout the counselling process.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all my client sessions are held via media platforms such as Skype, WhatsApp, etc.
Please note that our shared material (video, audio or written) might potentially not be fully secure or protected. I am not an IT expert able to assess the security of these platforms. Therefore, if we conduct sessions on such a platform, this will have to be your choice, and at your own discretion. I am unable to take any responsibility for any data security issues that might occur as a result of us engaging on these or other platforms.
I use various methods to best suit your needs.
I work person-centred (we'll work at your pace and with whatever you want to speak about) and humanistic (whatever is important for you, we'll work with it).
I often work with Transactional Analysis (we'll look at things that might have affected you in your past), Gestalt (working in the here & now), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (finding coping strategies for you).
