Counselling is a confidential process designed to help you address your concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself and your environment, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies.
I have the desire and willingness to help you accomplish your individual goals. Counselling involves sharing sensitive, personal, and private information that may at times be distressing, so I work confidentially with you. I believe that a person can change and unlock their potential.
During the course of counselling, there may be periods of increased anxiety or confusion. The outcome of counselling is often positive; however, the level of satisfaction for any individual is not predictable. I am available to support you throughout the counselling process. Currently, all my client sessions are held via media platforms such as Zoom, Doxy, WhatsApp, and Signal.
I am DBS/CRB enhanced-checked, triple-vaccinated (Covid-19), and insured.
I use various methods to best suit your needs.
I work integratively with elements of the Person-centred approach (we'll work at your pace and with whatever you want to speak about) and humanistic (whatever is important for you, we'll work with it).
I often work with Transactional Analysis (we'll look at things that might have affected you in your past), Gestalt (working in the here & now), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (finding coping strategies for you).
